Choti Devkali Temple

Choti Devkali Temple is one of the most revered and spiritually significant temples in Ayodhya. It is believed that the idol of Goddess Parvati, established by Mata Sita herself, is worshipped here in the form of Maa Devkali. Devotees believe that offering prayers at this sacred temple fulfills wishes and brings peace and blessings.

Located in the holy city of Ayodhya, the temple is dedicated to Goddess Parvati and holds deep religious importance. The idol of Maa Sita’s family deity is worshipped here with immense faith and devotion. Ayodhya, known as the divine city of Lord Shri Ram, is also famous for this ancient and sacred temple.

According to popular belief, when Mata Sita traveled from Janakpur to Ayodhya after her marriage, she brought along the idol of Goddess Parvati, her Kuldevi (family goddess). Maharaja Dasharatha later established the temple at this location in honor of the goddess. It is also believed that Mata Sita used to visit this temple regularly to pray for the well-being and victory of Lord Shri Ram.
